Maybe we won't grieve what we lost as much as we thought

We'll see it as the time we were stripped...

When we had to decide, prioritize, regress & revitalize

Where the invitations & apologies, expansions & retractions, haste & delay, all seamlessly made sense together...

And when we, for the first time, embraced the virtual hugs, heard the thoughts and prayers, and basked in the warm, positive energies...

All while we simultaneously felt too much and too little space from each other.

And when we, despite, mustered with what we had, with what remained, was left behind and given to us...

Not to rebuild, but to create a new, bright and resilient tomorrow

For those who we know we'll mourn from yesterday.
